Jersey could see flash flooding this weekend, with “heavy and persistent” rain expected to hit the Channel Islands.
Most of the rain is expected to fall in the night between Saturday and Sunday, with some heavy bursts from early afternoon on Saturday.
There is potential for heavy & persistent rain/showers over the weekend, perhaps with localised flash flooding. There could be heavy bursts from early pm Saturday but likely the bulk will fall overnight Sat / Sun.

The exact location of the worst weather is unclear, but Jersey Met expects it to be near or above the Channel Islands.
The Government has taken some precautions, such as clearing drains, and pointed islanders towards official advice on preparing for floods.
These steps include making sure you know how to turn off gas, electricity and water, as well as getting flood protection products like sandbags.
