A 44-year-old man accused of attacking and threatening to kill another man is due to face the Royal Court.
Arkadiusz Pawlowicz appeared in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday charged with grave and criminal assault.
The incident was alleged to have happened in St Helier.
Assistant Magistrate Adam Clarke decided that the case was too serious to be dealt with in the Magistrate's Court and declined jurisdiction.
Mr Pawlowicz will now appear in the Royal Court on 11 October.
He has been remanded in custody in the interim.
