Her schedule is currently packed with visits to schools, meetings with the coastguards and deliveries of Joy's Water Safety Cards, but Annie Noble took a short break to share five things she would like to improve in the Island.
At just 21 years old, Annie launched Jersey Water Safety - a campaign to raise awareness about safety in and around the water - in memory of her sister Joy Godfray, who died in the sea at Green Island last August.
I would like to see drinking laws extended in nightclubs to give people more of an experience of a nightclub. It's been proven by events that a closing time at 04:00 does not have a big knock-on effect on Jersey streets.

I would feel safer if people had time to compose themselves if clubs stopped selling drinks at 02:00, but stayed open until 04:00, which would give an extra two hours to enjoy the atmosphere.
More safety procedures and signs should be on display around the island, raising more awareness to people, as I don't feel it is strongly presented.
With the Island being surrounded by water, it's of big concern to me that islanders and tourists don't understand the currents and the effects our tides can have. It would stop any unnecessary deaths or accidents happening in Jersey waters if those risks were clearly signalled by the beaches.
I would like to see more of a younger demographic within the government to help fight for what people want, instead of what they assume we want. I feel more diversity will give people more confidence to vote and stand up to present their ideas to make Jersey great again!

I think that more support should go to people that are starting up a business, instead of hitting them with extra financial problems. It would give them more of a chance to progress rather than stopping them from progressing in the future and possibly expand.

Taxes and social security payments on employment are sky-high for employers, which puts many people off with starting up on their own.
I would like to see people showing the law more respect as well as a better communication between all ages and the legal departments. I feel there is no respect from either side at times and I would like to see a better relationship between all, as I feel a community should not be fighting with each other when we want the same outcome. We should work together and provide better care for people on the Island.
