Do YOU want to cross the Atlantic? Jersey rowers put "warhorse" up for sale

The "proven old warhorse" which saw Jersey's own DragonFish duo complete the world's toughest rowing race has been put up for sale.

The vessel took Peter Wright and Steve Hayes 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean during the Talisker Whiskey challenge, which they took on to raise funds for Durrell and Macmillan Cancer Support and completed last weekend.

The Lilly Mae, real name Sogno Atlantico, is a an Adkins pair design, built designed and built in England by Justin Adkins. Purchased second-hand by the duo for £25,000, it is a proven Atlantic veteran, having made a total of five Atlantic crossings to date. 

It has been structurally surveyed and passed the most rigorous safety standards in the ocean rowing industry. In other words, it has yet to sink or even capsize during a crossing. A good sign if ever there was one.

The boat can be sold with a brand new bespoke trailer, and can be rowed either solo or as a pair. The boat is available "at a very sensible price."
