The summer restrictions on walking your dog on the beach take effect from tomorrow morning.
As of 1 May, dogs are not allowed on beaches without a lead between 10.30 am and 6 pm. The restrictions come to an end with the finish of the traditional summer tourist season on 30 September.
The rules are policed by the 12 Parish Constables, and the same time limits also apply to horse owners, who are not allowed to exercise their horses on the beach between 10.30 am and 6 pm until the restrictions end.
Owners are also being reminded that there’s a £500 fine for not picking up dog mess.
