A 51-year-old woman accused of benefit fraud is due to face the Royal Court.
Ligia Maria Nobrega Rodrigues appeared in the Magistrate's Court last week.
She is charged with claiming income support without declaring all her assets and failing to inform the authorities when her circumstances changed.
Relief Magistrate Peter Harris said the case was serious enough to be heard by the Royal Court.
Ms Rodrigues was released on bail and will attend there on 13 September.
