The body of a man found on the beach at Grève d’Azette on Friday 30 December has been formally identified although his family has chosen to keep his identity private.
Police have said that the man is not connected in any way to the investigations into the sinking of the L’Ecume II fishing boat or the Pier Road disaster.
They are currently treating his death as unexplained but it is not thought to be suspicious.
The body was discovered just before 10:00 on the St. Clement beach.
