A 44-year-old man was taken to hospital yesterday evening after crashing his car into a tractor in St John.
The accident happened at 6 pm near Sion on La Grande Route de St Jean.
Firefighters, paramedics and police had to use specialist equipment to get him out of the back of the car after cutting out the back seats.
He was taken to A&E but was discharged last night.
His car was badly damaged and the road was closed while police investigated the cause of the accident.
