A campaigner for women's safety in the Channel Islands has joined the UN Women organisation as a delegate for the UK.
Poppy Murray is responsible for spearheading the successful BE LADS campaign.
The work began in Guernsey and has been making waves in the UK, as national police forces pick up and run with the BE LADS campaign.
She also recently took the campaign to Chelsea FC, and presented to more than 100 students at the Stamford Bridge Stadium.
Now, Poppy has been accepted as a delegate for UN Women, a United Nations entity that promotes gender equality.

As a delegate Poppy will be helping the organisation “work for the empowerment and rights of women and girls globally”.
Delegates are expected to support inter-governmental bodies in their formulation of global standards and norms.
"I’ve been fortunate to meet incredible people across the UK doing important work for gender equality and in tackling violence against women and girls,” Poppy said.
She continued: “One of them suggested I apply to be a UN Women UK delegate and I was honoured that my application was successful.
"It will be an amazing opportunity to join global conversations about gender equality and I’mlooking forward to learning as much as I can.”
