This evening's update came following a delay due to "technical difficulties" at the newly-established facility at Jersey General Hospital, which allows tests to be processed within 24 hours.
Apologising for the wait, the Government tweeted yesterday evening: "The staff in the laboratory are experiencing some technical issues with the production of today’s result figures, and as such, updated figures are not available at this time.
"The staff continue to work hard on resolving these technical issues, and results will be provided as soon as they are available over the next two days."
While the official number of confirmed cases is currently at 213, Medical Officer for Health Dr Ivan Muscat previously warned that the true number of islanders with the virus is likely to be as much as ten times higher than test figures. A survey was released on Thursday, aiming to provide a more accurate figure.
The number of patients currently being treated in hospital were not released this evening, but, according to the Chief Minister, the figure stood at 16 on Thursday, with a "very small number" in intensive care.
He added at the time that statistics relating to the number of islanders deemed to have "recovered" from the illness would be released next week.
