A 25-year-old drink-driver who crashed his car in La Colomberie – injuring three pedestrians, including a 71-year-old woman – has been jailed for two-and-a-half years.
James Arnold was also handed a three-year driving ban for the crash, which took place in the evening of Sunday 19 February.
Arnold was double the legal alcohol limit of 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres when he mounted a pavement at La Colomberie, collided with pedestrians and crashed his car near a vape shop.
He was sentenced in the Royal Court this morning.
Deputy Bailiff Robert MacRae, presiding, said Arnold would receive "full credit" for his early guilty pleas, but reiterated the seriousness of the crash and the fact that he resisted arrest.

The crash left a 71-year-old woman and two men (aged 28 and 35) needing hospital treatment for their injuries, which included broken bones.
