A search and rescue operation is still underway on Jersey's north coast for a woman who has been missing since yesterday afternoon.

Anne Potter was last seen leaving her home in Millbrook, St Lawrence at around 12:30 on Sunday and was thought to be heading north-west towards Grève de Lecq, according to the States of Jersey Police.

The police said in a social media post it was believed the missing woman was wearing a black windbreaker jacket and blue jeans.

Fire, coastguard and police teams have been involved in a search operation which began late afternoon and is focusing on the Grève de Lecq area.

The search has involved a rescue plane and drones, and the duty officer confirmed with Express this morning that it is ongoing.
