A dozen new homes at Pomme D'Or Farm?

A dozen more homes could be added to Pomme D’Or Farm, if Andium gets permission to demolish old drying rooms at the First Tower estate.

The island’s main social housing provider has put forward a planning application to construct 10 one-bed apartments, and two two-bed apartments, each with their own balcony or terrace.

Also included in the new development - which has been designed by Godel Architects - will be bike and bin stores, and landscaping.

"Reviewing existing sites to identify whether there are opportunities to introduce more homes is an important aspect of our asset strategy," a spokesperson for Andium explained.

"Small developments such as the one proposed and more significant developments of existing sites such as the Edinburgh House (147 new homes on the former La Collette Flats site) development in Green Street, play an important part in achieving our target of delivering 3,000 new homes by 2030."

The application, which has been graded ‘Major’, remains before Planning and will be decided at a later date.
