A 26-year-old electric scooter rider has been hospitalised with a "serious head injury" following a collision with a car last night.
The incident took place at around 19:35 on Sunday 24 June on Belvedere Hill, near the junction with Bagot Road.
In a appeal for information, police said: "The rider of the scooter, who is 26-years-old, is currently receiving treatment in the General Hospital having sustained a serious head injury.
"The driver of the car is uninjured."
In a separate incident, a 12-year-old boy was flown to Southampton Hospital on Saturday after sustaining a "significant head injury" in a collision which also involved an electric scooter.
The boy is in a stable condition, according to police.
Officers would like to speak with any witnesses, or anyone with dash cam footage of either collision.
