Police are appealing for information after an 87-year-old man died after the car he was driving crashed into a granite wall in St. Lawrence.
Officers said the collision happened on Monday 8 August at around 13:15 on Mont Cambrai in St. Lawrence.
“A Red Toyota Starlet descending the hill, collided with the granite wall on the sharp bend towards the bottom of the hill, knocking a large part of the wall down,” the Force reported.
“A member of the public came across the vehicle and called the emergency services.”
The driver was immediately taken to hospital by ambulance, but was sadly pronounced dead a “short time” after.
His name has not been made public at this stage. Police said his “family have been informed, but formal identification awaits.”
