Jersey’s young rugby players will come face to face with some larger than life bears on the pitch this weekend.
BBC Children In Need’s famous mascots Pudsey and Blush will be joining them on the turf at St Peter’s tomorrow morning.
The big bears will have a throw around first with the JRFC’s U7s before the older players and a few members of Jersey’s 1st XV battle it out in a Smart car tug-of-war with the cuddly celebrities behind the wheel.
The Club has organised the event with Jacksons Garage and Lloyds Bank to raise as much money for Children in Need as possible.
Roger Nightingale said: “We’re really looking forward to giving Pudsey and Blush a very warm Jersey welcome, no matter what the weather! Our Sunday morning sessions are all about enjoyment and extra special opportunities like this are fully embraced by our Club.”
“Don’t forget to bring your cameras to catch some magical moments, but more importantly, remember those extra notes and coins to help fill Pudsey and Blush’s buckets.”
