Express Review: Jamie Raven at Jersey Opera House

Express sent our own critics to review the Jamie Raven show last night in Jersey and the verdict was……

You can tell Jamie was so excited to be in Jersey for the first time. He has great energy, charm, enthusiasm, charisma, very funny and he is exciting. His tricks are fun and he engages with the crowd which is always fun! 

Most of his tricks were mind blowing and even due to a technical error with the camera system, he just reacted like a true professional to the glitch and entirely unflustered, carried on the performance. Surely the sign of real stardom. 

The highlight of the show was the levitation trick. Everyone in the audience was in awe, totally stunned, while his box trick was similarly an incredible piece of sleight-handed trickery.

Jamie closed with his famous magic newspaper trick, which had everyone gasping for air!! Great family entertainment for the young and old. 

The best thing about him is his honesty and integrity, Note to other artists that he went straight to the foyer after the show to greet everyone as they left and took pictures with kids and adults alike.

The man is no one-trick pony.
