Full plans have been put forward to build a new 50-bed care home, as well as a charity shop on Grouville's Fauvic Nurseries as part of a complete revamp of the site.
The planning application from BP Holdings Limited would see the demolition of four redundant glass houses, the creation of a new woodland area and an extension of the car park.
According to a design statement submitted as part of the planning application by Axis Mason, this latest application relates only to the regeneration of the west side of Fauvic. A planning application for the east of the site has not yet been published. That regeneration includes the creation of a medicinal cannabis operation.
It states that the new development would maintain the Holme Grown Farm Shop and its ancillary accommodation, and would see a reduction in building footprint by 79%.

However, it would remove four redundant glasshouses with a footprint of circa. 21,915m2, and "diversify the usage on the site to include a care home operated by LV Care Group, a fundraising shop operated by Jersey Hospice Care, restoration of agricultural land, an improved parish recycling centre and the introduction of a woodland amenity area for public use."
The new care home would have 50 bedrooms, with a footprint of 1547m2, and the Hospice Fundraising Shop, including a drop-of zone, would have a footprint of 752m2.
The statement says that, because of the care home's "domestic nature", it would be positioned towards the north of the site neighbouring existing residential units.
It would also be "bordered by gardens across each elevation".
The Hospice Care Fundraising Shop would be position towards the centre of the site, with close proximity to Holme Grown and "linked through a proposed public square to emphaisize the community hub and retail setting of the existing farm shop."
The woodland amenity area would include a wildlife zone, miniature woodland, associated footpaths and a pétanque court, witch a footprint of 1,935 m2.
In addition, the "central" open car park on the site would have 114 parking bays, including 20 electrical vehicle charging points, 5 accessible bays and 2 family bays, as well as an overspill car park with 98 spaces.
For other transport, there would be 32 bicycle bays and 13 e-bike charging points.
The application will be considered by the Planning Committee at a later date.
