This Saturday, St Aubin's Kindness Festival is back and bigger than ever, with over 30 charities taking part in the family-friendly, fun-filled event.

Festival founder, Brian Clarke, said: "Every Kindness Festival has had a brilliant atmosphere – genuine warmth of sheer niceness!
"There are two key aspects to the festival. First, it creates an opportunity for charities to meet the public, to show, tell, inform and even gain new supporters. And, second, it demonstrates kindness because every participant in the festival must do something that contributes to the visitor experience, which means everyone is being kind to others by adding to the overall pleasure of the festival."

The touring installation is a 10m diameter replica of our planet, and was created from NASA photography of the Earth's surface, portraying the "interconnection of all life, the concept of home and a renewed sense of responsibility for taking care of the environment".
Aiming to produce "the feelings of awe that astronauts report feeling when viewing the planet from space (otherwise known as the Overview Effect)". the installation will be lit up and be accompanied by a unique soundscape composition by Dan Jones.
Created by British artist Luke Jerram, and partnered with Jersey Water, the project is part of ArtHouse Jersey's 'No Place Like Home' exhibition. The artwork has also been spotted around the UK, such as appearing in Liverpool as part of the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Barrio Fiesta in London is the Filipino community's biggest cultural festival which showcases Philippine food, music, arts, dance and fashion over two days.
The organisers of the local event hope to make Jersey's Barrio Fiesta an annual occasion, similar to the Portuguese food festival, and open the event to the wider public next year.
This year's ticket-only Barrio Fiesta will be held on Sunday at the Radisson Blu Hotel from 13:00-20:00.
ArtHouse Jersey is looking for islanders to take part in an emotive art installation, People We Love, as part of an immersive exhibition exploring human connections.
'People We Love' is a community-based, international touring artwork where individuals are filmed looking at images of people they love.
In this Jersey edition, ArtHouse Jersey is inviting islanders to take part in this beautiful and timely artwork that centres around the emotion that bonds us all: love.
Guided by an audio meditation, each participant will be filmed gazing at a picture of someone they love – a picture the audience will never see.
Filming takes place at St Helier Town Church during various time slots from Wednesday 13 September to Sunday 17 September 2023.
The footage will be used in People We Love as part of the Skipton Big Ideas: Human Connections exhibition which opens to the public on Friday 3 November 2023.
You can book your filming slot via Eventbrite.
As part of ArtHouse Jersey's 'No Place Like Home' exhibition, local silversmith artist Will Romeril will hold a "fun and fact-filled" talk with fellow artist Rachel Ara.
Both artists, who practice hands-on techniques when creating their pieces, will hold the event to discuss their pieces which question's the harsh reality of Jersey's current housing crisis.
Will will be talking about his piece 'Space as a Premium' which was commissioned for the 'No Place Like Home' exhibition, as well as his wider body of work.
Working in only raw silver, he has created a miniature replica of an ubiquitous flat that equates to monthly cost for the minimum space to rent by law in Jersey.
Featuring a bath, toilet, cooker, radiator and more, Will's piece aspires to show that "a home should not be about market or monetary value, it is a fundamental need".
Will's art collections have been featured in Jersey before, as well as Australia and other spots in the UK. To find out more about his work, click here.
The talk is completely free to take part in, and will be held at Capital House on Tuesday 12 September at 18:00
