Funding of up to £50k offered to help businesses "revitalise"

A new funding initiative to help local businesses to become more productive has been launched.

The Productivity Support Scheme (PSS), funded by Government of Jersey and managed by Jersey Business, aims to get local firms thinking about how they can become more innovative, efficient and productive.

Under the scheme, grants of up to £50,000 of matched funding will be offered to successful applicants.

"We know that businesses often lack time and resources to focus on meaningful productivity improvement, but with Jersey Business' support positive changes can be made." explained Paul Murphy, Chief Executive of Jersey Business, which has been focusing 

"This grant presents a unique opportunity," he added. "Jersey businesses are being offered a chance to revitalise their operations, become more competitive and make a lasting impact on the local business landscape."

PSS grants are available to a diverse range of businesses who are wanting to introduce projects such as technology applications, process improvements and market expansion.

Eligible businesses will also have access to ongoing expert mentoring from the Jersey Business team.

Economic Development Minister Deputy Kirsten Morel added: "We are committed to fostering a dynamic and resilient business environment in Jersey.

"I urge all firms to seize this opportunity and make the most of the support available to them."
