Guernsey's top pandemic medic has said the island has reached the peak of its second covid wave, with numbers of cases of unknown source decreasing.
The island hit 277 active cases today, with five individuals in hospital, one of which being in intensive care.
Cases were linked to the Festival of Dance and to a Co-op Grand Marché over the weekend.

Over the weekend, just 16 of the 77 identified cases were from unknown sources, with the rest discovered through contact tracing.
The medic leading the island's response to the pandemic, Dr Nicola Brink (pictured top), said this was an encouraging trend and an indication that cases may be beginning to "plateau out". It is important, she stressed, that this does not lead to complacency.
With one patient in the Intensive Care Unit, Guernsey's Medical Director said the hospital is able to re-open the day patient unit as an overflow ICU at short notice if necessary.
The island remains in full lockdown and schools remain closed to all students, including the children of key workers. However, the island's Education Committee said it was urgently putting in place a testing system to enable the return to school.
