Restrictions have been placed on the importation of poultry from Jersey into Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm after bird flu was confirmed on the island last week.
Two chickens from a St. Martin flock died suddenly last week.
After testing confirmed avian influenza, three remaining chickens in the same flock were humanely culled, and a 3km radius 'protection zone' was subsequently imposed around the Archirondel area to stop the spread of the virus. Birdkeepers in the area are required to keep their flocks locked up until further notice.
Environment Minister Jonathan Renouf also declared a surveillance zone across the remainder of the island.
The Bailiwick of Guernsey has since imposed restrictions on the movement of poultry between the islands.
"We cannot emphasise enough, the importance of good biosecurity and remaining vigilant to the virus," the island's States Vet said.
The GSPCA said it continues to be called out to suspected cases of Avian Bird Flu in Guernsey.
"Every day we are called out and receive sick birds and we continue to also have those reported that are deceased across the Guernsey and other islands," said Manager Steve Byrne.
"For those that keep birds outside its really important to keep the food and water away from wild birds to limit the risks and follow the advice, as well as registering your flock if poultry with the States Vet."
Those who come across wild birds that have died suddenly and without an obvious explanation in Jersey can report them to the Natural Environment team via an online form.
Birdkeepers must immediately report any suspicious symptoms of avian influenza in their own flocks to Natural Environment on 01534 441600.
