Islanders looking to put on their dancing shoes and get in the groove can attend a Motown-themed event next month which is raising funds to support physically disabled adults in Jersey.
Jersey Cheshire Home – the island’s only specialist care facility for adults with disabilities – is holding its 'Motown Disco and Soul Charity Night' at the Best Western Royal Hotel on Saturday 16 November at 19:30.
Organisers wrote: "Get your dancing shoes on for this fun-filled Motown, soul and disco night with the help of DJs Gary, Darren and Bernie.
"Get into the groove, dress to impress, and help raise funds to support physically disabled adults in Jersey!"
They added that fancy dress is "recommended" but optional, and there will be a prize for the best dressed. There will also be a raffle on the night.
Jersey Cheshire Home provides accommodation for tens of individuals, and supports over 60 additional islanders each week to manage and improve their condition through aqua and physiotherapies.
The charity was founded in 1983 to support individuals with debilitating physical disabilities, which results in them no longer being able to live in their own home.
Tickets cost £32.50 (including food) and can be purchased here.
