Victoria College has been crowned as winner of the annual De Putron Challenge, after one of the closest finals in the annual competition’s 10 year history.
In an all-Jersey face-off, the boys took on Hautlieu, who had pipped them to the post in the post-16 Island final some days earlier. Victoria College nonetheless grabbed the victory in a hard-fought final, which saw Hautlieu lead by just one point with one round left to go in the University Challenge style competition at Guernsey's Old Government Hotel.

Guernsey took the top spots in the Year Eight and Year Six categories, however, won by Elizabeth College and Castel Primary School.
The Year 8 final had seen Jersey College for Girls lose to Elizabeth College by just one point.
In a tense tie-break - described as “nail biting” on the De Putron Challenge Twitter page – Castel Primary grabbed the gold from De La Salle boys’ school, having correctly answered a sudden death question.
