Jersey ice cream a winner

Probiotic Jersey Ice Cream Minioti have scooped a Great Taste Gold Star.

Minioti, a brand of probiotic Jersey ice cream with no added sugar, has received national recognition, having been awarded a gold star at the Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards for their premium strawberry ice cream.

Minioti’s speciality ice cream was one of just a handful of products to have successfully made it through the many rounds of tastings and went on to be judged by over 400 experts including chefs, retailers, producers and food writers.

The judges awarded Minioti with one gold star out of a possible three and described the ice cream as having “a gloriously smooth, creamy texture and lovely richness from the Jersey cream.” Out of 10,000 product entries, only 35% received an accreditation.

Minioti has also been nominated for the Great British Food Magazine's Great British Food Awards, the winners of which are due to be announced soon.
