La Mare Wine Estate have scooped gold stars for seven of their locally made produce at an awards ceremony considered the ‘Oscars of the food world'.
La Mare’s Salted Caramel, Royal Gin Chocolates, Apple Brandy Cream Liqueur and Branchage Cider were all awarded two stars and rated 'Outstanding’ by the judges at this year's Great Taste Awards.
Less than 15% of all entries receive the two-star rating in the competition organised by the Guild of Fine Food.
In addition, La Mare’s Black Butter Chocolates, Royal Pink Gin and VSOP Apple Brandy were all awarded one star - a sign they are all delivering "fantastic flavour", according to the judges.

Commenting on the awards, La Mare’s Managing Director Tim Crowley said: “There were 12,772 products entered in this year’s Great Taste Awards and just over 38% of those entries achieved some level of accredited so we are absolutely delighted to be awarded so many stars.
"It’s real testament to the hard work of all our dedicated team and gives us confidence that we are making great tasting products for our customers to enjoy.
“We are constantly improving and expanding our product range and this seal-of- approval, the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink sets our products apart and puts Jersey produce firmly on the map.”
