Final table for Jersey Take That show goes on sale

Monday 26 June 2017

If you are a Take That fan and were disappointed not to get your hands on a ticket for their sold-out Take That performance at the Investec Rainforest Ball on 16 September, here is your last chance: a table of 10 seats has just become available and will go to the highest bidder.

The table had previously been purchased by a supporter of Durrell who is no longer able to attend the event and suggested it be used to raise further funds for the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP) and Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust via a silent auction.

The table, which seats 10 people and has a reserve price of £5,000, will go to the highest bidder. Anyone wishing to place a bid in the silent auction should email auction@durrell.org with the suggested amount in the subject before 30 June at 12:00. Organisers ask that payment for the table be made before 17:00 on the same day to secure the table. Updates on the bid will be available during the week on the Investec Rainforest Ball Facebook page.

The Investec Rainforest Ball promises to be a spectacular evening at the Royal Jersey Showground with an exclusive guest performance by Take That as a highlight. Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald are being brought over by Elaine and Chris Fairfax, lifelong animal lovers and supporters of Durrell who successfully bid for a private performance from the fab three in the BBC's Children in Need auction last year, paying more than a million pounds for the privilege.

Guests will also be treated to an evening of fine dining with dishes incorporating ingredients grown in the Durrell gardens and "exciting entertainment" including dancing as well silent and live auctions.

Organized by Orangutan enthusiast, Zoe Hotton, the event will raise funds for the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP) and Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
