How to enjoy a 'Great Scenic Journey' in Jersey

Monday 12 August 2024

Tourists and locals are being encouraged to explore the island’s landscapes and historical sites by bus, following a partnership between Jersey’s bus operator and a UK-based travel company.

LibertyBus has teamed up with Great Scenic Journeys to promote the island's attractions through sustainable travel.

The partnership aims to boost tourism and reduce the need for car rentals by offering eco-friendly travel options to destinations like Gorey Pier, Jersey Zoo, and St Brelade's Bay.

Great Scenic Journeys aim to promote and accredit scenic transport routes across the UK and beyond and will now feature several Jersey routes on its website.

Kevin Hart, Director of LibertyBus, said his team were "excited to offer... even more opportunities to explore the island's unique landscapes including the glorious beaches, visitor attractions and incredible historical landmarks".

Alex Warner, Managing Director at Great Scenic Journeys, added they hoped the "partnership will encourage more people to experience all that Jersey has to offer in an environmentally friendly way".
