Local businesses work on de-stressing you

A group of local businesses are going on the road next month to help us all de-stress.

Over the last two years the UK has reportedly lost 9.9 million working days because of stress with issues at work being the main complaint to GP's.

It's National Stress Awareness Day on Wednesday 2 November and local firms WellBeing At Work, ASL Executive Services, Rossborough Healthcare and Future Health, with the support of Ogier, Elian and Standard Bank will be holding the first-ever St Helier Roadshow to promote workplace wellness.

In their 55 minute ‘Prevention Better Than Cure’ presentation workshop, Beverley Le Cuirot of WellBeing At Work, Edith Coleman of ASL Executive Services, and Richard Clarke and Jennifer Gouyet of Rossborough Healthcare will present the latest on employee wellbeing; a holistic approach to leadership and benefits to employee engagement; they will consider the financial benefits of getting it right; and they will help attendees to design their own roadmap to achieve their aims.

They will be supported by Magda Bochen of Future Health who will be giving a short demonstration of the benefits of stretch at work.

The team will be at ASL in Church Street from 08:00 to 09:25, at the Ogier and Elian offices on the Esplanade from midday until 13:25 and at Standard Bank House in La Motte Street from 15:00 to 16:25.

They say their presentation which is free to attend has been designed for HR Professionals and Line Managers in all sectors.

National Stress Awareness Day was created by the International Stress Management Association (ISMA) to ensure that the topic of stress, its cause and prevention, would remain high on the national agenda.
