A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grave and criminal assault following an alleged early morning fight in St. Helier that resulted in a woman suffering a head injury.
Police said the disputetook place in the area of Springfield Crescent that leads to Trinity Road between 05:30 and 06:15.
The man and woman, who knew each other, had reportedly been shouting at each other before the man left the area and Police were called.
According to the Force, the woman sustained a head injury from hitting her head against a car.

“An ambulance was not called, though the woman has been seen by a doctor and the injuries are not deemed life-threatening or changing,” they commented.
A 37-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of grave and criminal assault and telecommunications offences, and remains in custody.
Police are now seeking more information about what happened and are urging members of the public to come forward if they saw the man and woman, who they described as follows: “…a 30-year-old white woman, approximately 5’ 6” tall, of slim build with dark straight hair. The man is 37-years-old, white and tall. He is of slim build and was wearing a cap and carrying a rucksack.”
