Man arrested over alleged roadside assault of woman

A 39-year-old man was arrested last night over the alleged assault of a woman during a roadside fight.

The row was said to have taken place between 20:30 and 21:00 last night on Green Road, around the Greve d'Azette Road junction in St. Clement.

The flight between the two - both in their 30s - reportedly led to the woman sustaining an injury to her eye, which was described by Police as "minor".

She did not attend A&E for her injury.

The man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of Grave and Criminal Assault and remains in police custody.

Officers are now appealing for further information about what happened.
