A 28-year-old man has been charged over graffiti that was found at the island's largest Catholic church.
A sign outside St Thomas' Church was sprayed with the world "killers" overnight between Sunday 12 and Monday 13 May.
Aiden Lawlor was charged with five counts of malicious damage between those two dates and in relation with the incident.
He is due to appear in court on Friday 14 June and has been released on police bail.
The Catholic Church in Jersey did not comment on the incident.
