Police are investigating the death of a 41-year-old man who was found in the back of a parked car in St Mary last night.
The man has been identified as Johnathan Lucas Ambrose.
He was found in the back of his car at around 9.40 pm, parked at a private residence in St Mary.
Police say that he had been walking in the area around St Mary’s Parish Hall and the school in the two hours before he died.
They have issued a description of him and asked anyone with any information to get in touch with them.
In a statement, Detective Inspector Stephen Langford of the Criminal Investigation Department said: “Mr Ambrose was believed to be alone walking around in the area of St Marys Parish Hall and school between the hours of approximately 19.30 and 21.30 hours.
“He is described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, red short hair, blue jeans, navy polo T-shirt. He was possibly also wearing or carrying a red hoodie top and blue jacket.”
Police have also said that trained family liaison officers are supporting Mr Ambrose’s partner and his family.
