A 57-year-old man who kicked a hotel worker has been jailed for 15 weeks for assault and disorderly behaviour.
CCTV footage from the Radisson Blu Hotel showed Antonio Romano Capuano kicking the staff member and then grabbing him aggressively by the arm in the hotel's bar area.
The Magistrate’s Court heard on Monday that Capuano had numerous previous convictions for threatening and abusive behaviour.
Advocate Allana Binnie, defending, pointed out that the kicking had not caused serious injury and said: “There was no intention to physically harm him.”

However Relief Magistrate Peter Harris told Capuano: “Your record speaks for itself.
"A custodial sentence is the only option open to me.”
He jailed him for 12 weeks for the assault and a consecutive three weeks for the disorderly conduct.
