Motorcycle funeral procession for local skier "who loved his bikes"

Thursday 30 March 2017

Up to 30 Harley Davidson motorbikes will today accompany the funeral procession of a “much-loved” islander who died while on a family skiing holiday in the French Alps.

Mark ‘Frank’ Le Sueur, the son of a former St John Constable who “loved his bikes”, was skiing with a friend in the Solaise area of Val d’Isère in late February when he crashed.

Tributes poured in over social media, praising the “lovely and genuine” Mr Le Sueur.

His funeral will be held at 13:00 at St John’s Parish Church today, before the hearse, family cars and motorbikes move to the crematorium.

A large congregation is anticipated at the service, which will feature a rendition of Chariots of Fire.

Friends and family are invited to the Rugby Club in St Peter for refreshments and to share their memories following the service.
