National recognition lands on Jersey Airport again

Tuesday 04 November 2014

The efforts of Jersey Airport staff to improve their customer service have really taken off and they’ve just landed some national recognition for the second time this year.

The over 50’s who have been holidaying in the Island gave the Island’s Airport high marks in Saga’s customer satisfaction survey report – a company that has become one of the most recognised and trusted brands among UK consumers.

It might not have come in the top ten rankings but it did get a special mention in the holiday company’s report and was praised for its overall appearance and level of cleanliness as well as the check-in and security experience.

Ports of Jersey Group Customer Relations Manager Rosemarie Grimster said: “As an organisation, Jersey Airport has made great progress in recent times to engage more fully with customers, by means of our own satisfaction survey. As such we have been striving to enhance the level of service and standard of facilities provided to them, with a particular focus on their overall journey experience with us. Therefore, for us to receive such positive comments from customers of a highly respected and influential company as Saga is a great testament to the efforts the entire airport team is making in this area”.

It’s the second consumer related accolade for the Airport this year. Which? Magazine customers gave it an overall 76% satisfaction rate back in August that led to a much sought-after “Recommended Provider” compliment as the eighth best regional airport in the British Isles.

Top marks in Saga’s survey went to Glasgow International with Birmingham coming second and Manchester third. Gatwick came in in eighth place.
