Mums, dads and parents-to-be will be able to gain first-hand pregnancy advice from midwives and children’s charities in Jersey’s first ever maternity fair today.
The ‘Parent and Baby’ event will be held at the Pomme d’Or Hotel from 10:00 to 15:00.
It is aimed at anyone planning to have children or those who already have children, with organisers hoping to resolve the “lack of awareness” about what support is already available for those going through childbirth.

“This event will bring many of these organisations and professions under the same roof and offer visitors the chance to find out more and get the relevant contact details for the future, whether they are having a baby next month or in several years’ time,” she added.
Visitors are welcome to drop in at any time. The event finishes in good time to allow football fans the chance to catch the World Cup Final at 16:00.
Children are welcome, and refreshments are available. There will also be a face painter at the event.
