Staff and volunteers in the hard-hit third sector are being offered the chance of a share of £100,000 in a new grant scheme.
'Supporting the Supporters' has been launched by the Jersey Community Foundation following a donation by the Sedel-Collings Foundation to provide funds to cover training, wellbeing and development costs for not-for-profit, voluntary and charitable organisations
Grants ranging from £500 to £5,000 will be available to support "creative and forward-thinking approaches" to staff and volunteer wellbeing.
The announcement comes after a turbulent few months for the island's third sector that saw back-to-back closures of mental health charity Jersey Recovery College and Beresford Street Kitchen's tearooms at La Hougie Bie following increased financial strain, as well as an appeal for funds by the Butterfly Café which offers workplace opportunities to abuse survivors.

The grant scheme aims to boost morale and empower staff to address the challenges that come with their roles.
Jersey Community Foundation chief executive Anna Terry said: "We know that those on the front lines, supporting vulnerable individuals and communities, need to feel strong and supported themselves.
"Through this collaboration with the Sedel-Collings Foundation, we hope to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the workforce in our vital island community organisations. This fund is an important step in ensuring these organisations can continue to provide exceptional support to those in need."
Those working for not-for-profit, voluntary and community groups, and registered Jersey charities are eligible to apply. The closing date for applications is the Saturday 23 November 2024, with decisions made within one month of submission.
