Parked cars damaged after planks thrown from Fort Regent

Wednesday 25 April 2018

Three youths have been arrested on suspicion of throwing planks of wood from Fort Regent onto cars parked below in Snow Hill.

Police reported that “two large planks” were thrown on Tuesday around 14:00. They apparently landed on “several vehicles” below, causing damage.

A trio of boys – aged 12, 14 and 15 – were subsequently arrested on suspicion of malicious damage, but were later released on bail.

Police are now looking to speak with islanders in the area of Fort Regent’s ramparts or Snow Hill car park at the time.

Anyone with information should contact the Police on 612612 or make an anonymous report via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
