Jersey’s French bureau is celebrating its 20th birthday and inviting you to join its “selfie” party.

If you can snap the best picture of yourself outside its Maison de Normandie et de la Manche shop in Halkett Place before the end of the month you could be off to one of the coolest music festivals in Normandy this summer.

The bureau was set up 20 years ago to strengthen diplomatic, economic, cultural, sporting and tourism links between Normandy and the Channel Islands and is now promoting music across the water.

Aurélie Leroy said: “We have put together a display in our shop windows in town (71 Halkett Place) to promote Normandy music festivals. Currently we are promoting 7 different music festivals including Beauregard, Jazz en Baie, Jazz sous les Pommiers, Papillons de nuit, Chauffer dans la Noirceur, Les Traversées de Tatihou, Art Sonic with a very attractive line up including Sting, Placebo, Scorpions, Lenny Kravitz, popular jazz musicians and many more!”

You could win tickets or passes to various music festivals in Normandy throughout the summer taking place between 8th May and 16th August.

Aurélie wants you to be original, creative, fun and wild with your pics so we have put together a few tips to help you get the most of your selfie!

  • Get a good angle to show off your features - if you turn your head a bit your features won't look so flat;

  • Hold the camera just above your head and your eyes will look bigger;

  • Find the perfect light - with the sun in front of you;

  • Use your filters - Go for a retro look with a black and white filter, or go golden for a warm, cool look.

You need to email your selfie to info@maisondenormandie.com with your name and email address before 29 April when the winners will be announced.
