Express has gone inside the new Nightingale field hospital to give you a close-up look at the construction process and equipment that will be used to care for patients.
The inside look comes as the Health Department this week approved a 'bed head module' for use in the facility.
The module includes: oxygen supply, a nurse call button, power and lights.
A model was put in place at the Millbrook-based Nightingale Hospital, and work is now underway to roll out the equipment across 180 partitioned 'rooms'.
Video: What the inside of the facility looks like so far.
The shell of the field hospital was completed on Saturday, and this week the floor has been installed and drainage completed.
The construction team is now focusing on the structure around the oxygen base and installing electrics, plumbing and fire alarms, among other utility connections.
The Inner Road remains closed to traffic so that the building can be hooked up to the island's main drainage and electrical structure.
