Islanders face a £250 fine if they don’t get their personal income tax returns in by 6 pm this evening.
Around 54,000 were sent out in January but at the start of this week 14,000 were still to be sent back.
The Tax Office say the return must be in their hands by the end of the day and they won’t accept postal delays as an excuse and Islanders will be fined if they fail to meet the deadline.
They’ve got extra staff working on their help desk this week and say that anyone needing help to complete their return can call in to Cyril Le Marquand House or phone the Tax Office on 440300.
