Police are looking to speak to a man who bought alcohol for a woman “in some distress” and a taxi driver as part of their investigations into alleged domestic incidents.
They say that the woman headed to Alfonso’s Shop in Cheapside (pictured) after fleeing from at an address in Kensington Place after an alleged incident at around 20:30 on Sunday.
When the shopkeeper refused to sell her alcohol, she asked a man in the area to buy it on her behalf. He eventually did so by 21:00.
Police are hoping to get in touch with the man to help with their ongoing investigations, as well as a taxi driver who drove her last Wednesday from near the hospital to Grenville Street while she was “in a distressed state.”
“The woman had been subjected to a domestic assault and had sustained some injuries as a result,” a Police statement read.
Police are now asking those members of the public, as well as anyone with any information on the alleged incidents, to contact them on 612612.
