A male pedestrian was taken to hospital at the weekend following a collision with a car near the bus station.
In an appeal for information, police said that a white Mini Cooper heading west collided with the man on the zebra crossing between Liberation Square and Conway Street.
The incident took place on Sunday afternoon at around 13:46.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, which will require surgery.
