With one of the most glittering events in the island's calendar just around the corner, the list of individuals and businesses nominated as Jersey's most stylish have been revealed.
In total, 65 local businesses, as well as and a number of local creatives, chefs and business leaders, among others, all feature on the shortlist for the 2019 Jersey Style Awards, which will take place on Thursday 11 July at the Royal Jersey Showground.

Brainchild of Dr Tessa Hartmann CBE, the evening aims to celebrate the people that shape the character of a place she terms as "one of the best kept secrets in the British Isles" through a series of awards ranging from Restaurant of the Year, to Tastemaker and Corporate Philanthropist. "...This is an opportunity for Jersey to punch above its weight and show the world what the island has to offer," she said.
The nominees for each of the 12 categories whose shortlists have been decided be a series of judges, who this year include celebrity photographer Andy Gotts, who has photographed stars including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman, as well as returning judge Hilary Alexander, an esteemed fashion journalist, the Evening Standard's Head of Luxury Maurice Mullen, and Jill Wanless, Editor of Hello Fashion Monthly.

Meanwhile, organisers are working with the Bailiff, Sir William Bailhache, to decide who will be named 'Philanthropist of the Year'. The Sir William will head a committee responsible for selecting the individual that has made a contribution to the island through charitable endeavours. In 2017 and 2018, this was awarded to Sir David Kirsch and Paul Skyes respectively.
As well as the award-winners, the announcement as to which stars could be joining the celebrations are also hotly anticipated. In previous years, these have included, Professor Green, Alesha Dixon, Pam Hogg and Dame Shirley Bassey, who wowed the inaugural event with an impromptu accapella performance of 'Diamonds are Forever' as she became the first member of the Style Awards Hall of Fame.

Supporting the awards this year are Bentley Motors in partnership with Jaxons, Textron Aviation in conjunction with Ortac, secure SMS messaging provider MMG and property developer DiCasa.
Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Murray Norton urged islanders to vote. "There are so many incredible companies who pride themselves on their corporate social responsibility ethos and this impressive shortlist highlights just that... They are the very epitome of what great businesses do for the benefit of their community and it's now up to that community to vote for their winner."
