The UK’s old school menswear specialist is setting up shop at Liberty Wharf.
Moss Bros. is moving into the last empty shop in the shopping centre and will be opening its doors at the start of the summer.
The luxury retailer founded in 1851 and best known for its hire service is being brought over by the Channel Islands’ largest retailer, SandpiperCI.
Sandpiper’s CEO Tony O’Neill said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Moss Bros., a traditionally strong UK brand that continues to evolve despite challenging market conditions. Announcing the Moss Bros. franchise is actually a significant milestone for Sandpiper. This will be the tenth retail brand we've introduced to the island in the last five years.
“Our strategy of introducing market leading, blue chip retail brands to the Channel Islands has significantly changed the local retail landscape. During this time we have created more than 200 jobs and widened choice for both islanders and visitors alike.”
Moss Bros Group plc CEO Brian Brick said: “As one of Britain’s longest standing heritage brands, we look forward to sharing our knowledge, expertise and brand breadth with the people of Jersey.
“Whether looking for slim fit, tailored or classic formalwear to hire or buy, we are confident that our new store in Liberty Wharf will offer outstanding selection and service – as we have done since 1851.”
Islanders off to events in the UK can get fitted in Jersey and pick up their hired suit on the mainland from one of the other Moss Bros. shops and visitors coming here for a wedding or party can hire theirs in the UK and will be able to pick it up at Liberty Wharf.
Moss Bros. joins Sandpiper’s other Liberty Wharf brands including M&S Home, George, Hotel Chocolat, Costa Coffee and Pasty Presto.
