Sunset Concerts set to return to St Ouen next month

Tuesday 21 May 2024

Islanders can soon dust off their picnic blankets for an evening of live music as a staple of Jersey’s summer calendar returns next month.

Organised by The National Trust for Jersey in partnership with the Jersey Opera House, the Sunset Concerts are due to be held at Mont Grantez – overlooking St Ouen’s Bay – on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 June.

Friday's concert will include a performance by young soprano singer Sydney Haskins, a Guernsey guitar-based trio called The Dawberts, and a 13-piece band band called The Jersey Bounce.

Saturday is to be headlined by local singer Jessica Lloyd Chays and her band, supported by Jerriais group Mêli-Mêlo.

All proceeds from the concerts will go towards the Trust's campaign to save areas of the island's coastline.

Andy Eagle, Theatre Director of the Jersey Opera House, said: "During our refurbishment, the Jersey Opera House remains active through our offsite productions.

"We are delighted to partner with The National Trust for Jersey for the Sunset Concerts, supporting the important work of preserving Jersey's coastline."

Islanders interested in purchasing tickets for the concerts should visit the events section of the National Trust for Jersey website.

Tickets cost £10 for members, £15 for non-members, and £5 for children.
