Jersey’s newest bar opens tonight, but it is a bar with a difference. For a visit to Jonathan Ruff’s latest venture, the Tamba Bar, means you can transport yourself from Wembley to Twickenham, St Andrew’s to Silverstone.
It is a luxuriously appointed bar, but while chilling out with a beer you can also actually take part in your own sports in the simulated booths.
Mr Ruff is convinced it will be a rip-roaring success as sports fans can now actually take part, rather than just watch.
“We have got every sport under the sun,” said Mr Ruff. “You can take penalties against a goalkeeper at Wembley, followed by rugby conversions at Twickenham. Next up, grab some of our golf clubs and you can play the full St Andrew’s course. It is all brilliant fun and you can do it all while relaxing with a beer.
“The great thing is it is big site, so those people who don’t want to take part in sports can hang out and just enjoy the surroundings, either inside or outside on the balcony.”
The Tamba Bar, located at the old Liquid Nightclub site, boasts three simulation booths and it opens today at 16:00.
Mr Ruff said: “I’m really positive this will prove very, very popular. I’ve had people testing out the simulation booths and has been difficult to get them to leave!”
