Teen girl injured in late-night Liberation Square fight

A teenage girl suffered injuries to her hands, arms and head following a fight with another girl in the early hours of Sunday morning that Police believe was filmed by members of the public.

Members of the Force are appealing for more information about the brawl, which took place between 02:05 and 02:10 in Liberation Square.

Describing the suspected 'grave and criminal assault' in an appeal for more information, Police said: "Two girls, both aged 19 were having an argument when one of the girls, who wearing a blue denim jacket over a green crop top, attacked the other causing her some injuries to her hands, arms and head. She did not attend hospital.  

"Police believe the incident was filmed by several members of pubic and would like to hear from anyone who may have footage."
