A teenager had to be flown to Southampton for emergency surgery for a serious head injury sustained during a fight in Jersey over the weekend.
Police said the 18-year-old was knocked unconscious during the fight, which took place around 01:15 on Monday in Liberation Square and involved another male of the same age.
The victim was then taken to hospital by ambulance before being flown to Southampton for surgery on what Police described as a “serious head injury."

They said that one man was arrested at the scene, and has now been released on bail while they continue their investigations.
Many people were said to be in the area at the time of the fight, and Police are asking those who may have witnessed it – in particular, two men who spoke to the pair prior to the fight, and another man who may have recorded it on his mobile.
